Teach them sexual purity!

Happy Sunday Ladies!

Part of my post is today’s message at my church and my thoughts. Enjoy.

Text was from Gen 49:3-4. It was when Jacob was giving the final words to his children. He said beautiful things about Rueben in verse 3 but placed a curse on him because Rueben defiled his father’s bed with his father’s wife.
The curse was that he will not excel. The preacher proved that Rueben didn’t excel indeed. Remember the victims of the first recorded earthquake in the Bible- Dathan &co they were Ruebenites. Infact, the earthquake was their punishment. See Moses prayer for them below before he passed on Deuteronomy 33:6 GNT

Moses said about the tribe of Reuben: “May Reuben never die out, Although their people are few.”

I’m sure you are thinking where am I going with all I’ve been sharing….
How did Reuben got to where he received a curse from his father? He was the firstborn son, the beginning of his father’s strength. He slept with one of his father’s wives. What do we see in our days? Men who have sold their souls for sexual pleasure. Rueben mortgaged his soul. He became scattered in the land. He became few to the extent that Moses prayer was for him not to die. May our sons’ destinies not be truncated, may they succeed and may they not be few in the name of Jesus.

My advice……Let’s do all we can to raise godly men, disciplined in and out. Let’s pray for them and attack any strange behavior. Don’t act like one of those people who say it’s a man’s world. Men are polygamous in nature. So, they can misbehave afterall they are not the one that will get pregnant.
Look, your son’s sexual purity is as important as your daughter’s. Afterall, it takes a boy to impregnate a girl. May God guide us and give us grace in Jesus name amen.
